The Mann Art Gallery is delighted to welcome Lindsay as the newest member of the MAG staff team! Lindsay joins us in the role of Operations Manager, bringing with her a rich blend of artistic practice, cultural research, and community-focused experience.
Lindsay holds a BFA with Distinction in Drawing from the Alberta College of Art and Design and a Master of Arts in Modern Languages and Cultural Studies from the University of Alberta with a focus in Media and
Culture.
Her work had developed over the years to find a blend of creative mediums and a commitment to cultural research, especially related to the Indigenous histories of the Kistapinânihk (Prince Albert) area. Her creative practice includes performance, painting, writing, and collaborative community-based
projects. She worked as the Indigenous Project Researcher for the Kistapinânihk/Omaniciye Makoca/Tł’ogh tëlë/The Gathering Place exhibit at the Prince Albert Historical Society, Archivist for the Kinistino Métis Local #43, was the founding Editor-in-Chief of media art and film publication Luma Quarterly, and has exhibited her work nationally and internationally.
Through both research and art, she aims to increasingly contribute to a more inclusive, connected community, where history and creativity work hand in hand.
Please join us in giving Lindsay a warm welcome to MAG!
