At the Mann Art Gallery (MAG), we believe that visual art is for everyone. Whether you’re a young student, a senior in care, or a lifelong learner, our Education Program is designed to inspire creativity, encourage dialogue, and support artistic expression for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

What We Offer

Our Education Program includes a wide variety of experiences tailored for school groups, families, seniors, and community organizations. Here’s a closer look at some of the ways we bring art to life:

Book a Tour & Studio Project

Our in-gallery school tours include:

  • Exhibition Tour (30 minutes): Explore current exhibitions through conversation and discovery.

  • Studio Project (90 minutes): Create your own artwork inspired by what you’ve seen.

Each visit is curriculum-connected (3–5 links per program) and tailored to your group's specific needs. Flexible scheduling available.

Cost: $3 per person | $30 minimum

One Picture Gallery Program

We bring the art to you! One original artwork from our collection comes to your school or community group, sparking discussion and creativity through a customized art lesson.

Current offerings include:

  • Leah Dorion’s Giving Thanks (Métis theme, painting or drawing)

  • Reanne Settee’s Curious Camaraderie (needle felting)

Cost: $30 base for up to 10 students (includes supplies) + $3 per additional student + $10 travel within Prince Albert.

The Museum Story Box (K–Gr. 2)

A hands-on, story-based experience using Susan Verde’s The Museum. Includes over 60 props and two interactive games. A perfect introduction to art galleries for younger learners.

Cost: Same as One Picture Gallery Program

Advanced Art Lessons (Gr. 5–12)

Take it to the next level with workshops that dive deep into specialized techniques:

  • Linocut printmaking

  • Sculpture with armatures

  • Needle or wet felting

  • Soapstone carving

Cost: Starting at $30 per lesson + materials per student (e.g., $5 for linocut) + $10 travel fee.

Seniors’ Art Outreach

Bringing creativity and connection to long-term care homes. Hands-on art activities designed with seniors in mind.

Cost: $45 flat rate per visit within Prince Albert.

Children’s Art Camps

Fun and educational half-day and full-day camps for children aged 6–12. Offered during school breaks and summer holidays (7 weeks annually).
