We’re pleased to share that a selection of original artworks by Saskatchewan-based artist Cathy M. Lacey is now available through the Mann Art Gallery’s Little Gift Shop. This special consignment collection is more than just beautiful art—it’s an act of generosity and legacy.
100% of proceeds from these sales will go directly toward the Barb Lacey Memorial Award, which supports youth artists participating in the Annual High School Juried Art Show. This meaningful gesture honours the memory of Barb Lacey and helps empower the next generation of creative voices in our community.
About the Artist
Cathy M. Lacey’s work is rooted in the natural worlds she inhabits—Saskatchewan’s northern boreal forest and the Sonoran Desert in Arizona. Her practice blends abstraction, research, and personal narrative, often using tree forms as metaphors for human experiences. For over 40 years, Cathy has exhibited her work across Canada and the United States, and her paintings are held in both public and private collections.
Cathy is also a dedicated community volunteer. Her long-standing involvement with St. Andrews Children’s Clinic in Nogales, Arizona has inspired an entire series of paintings. Through her art, she continues to raise funds for essential supplies for youth with mobility challenges.
