Upcoming Exhibition

Gibraltar Point

June 18th to Sept. 4th, 2026

Gibraltar Point is a two-person exhibition of work by Michel Boutin and Tristen Durocher, stemming from their residency in summer 2024 at Gibraltar Point on the Toronto Islands. Organized by K'inādās artist collective, the residency offered mentorship and a supportive environment for learning, exploration, and risk-taking. The Mann Art Gallery is pleased to share Michel’s and Tristen’s interpretations of the people and places at Gibraltar Point, demonstrating how a shared experience gives way to multiple forms of artistic engagement.

This exhibition is generously supported by the Royal Bank of Canada.

Make a day of it at the Mann Art Gallery on Saturday, August 15!

Join us for a full day of art, community, and fresh-baked treats. The Mann Art Gallery will have special extended hours from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to explore our exhibitions, shop local, and get creative.

Atim Maskikhiy

John V. Hicks Gallery, Margo Fournier Arts Centre

Exhibition - July 1st to August 23rd

Atim Maskikhiy (‘Dog Medicine’ in Cree) presents works of seventeen artists local to the La Ronge tri-community area in Northern Saskatchewan. The multimedia pieces represent the artists’ interpretations of the dog-human relationship as expressed through preliminary findings of a community-driven research project conducted in the community. This unique marriage of art and science allows knowledge translation to a broader audience than typical of peer-reviewed research. Highlighting the need for improved access to animal health and welfare services in northern, remote and Indigenous communities everywhere, this gallery represents a call to action for systemic change at the human-dog interface. Through their works, the artists confirm that dog-human bonds are highly valued and often critical to human life and well-being in the north, and current approaches to ‘fixing’ dog problems in communities without regular access to care ignore important contributors at the root of the issue.

Join our summer student, Ria Macdonald, in painting the front steps of the Margo Fournier Arts Centre. These Community Mural Painting Days are free and open to all ages, and we'd love for you to help bring this community art project to life!

Community Mural Painting Days

• Monday, July 27: 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

• Tuesday, July 28: 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

• Thursday, July 30: 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Feel free to join us for one day or all three—everyone is welcome, and no painting experience is necessary!

E.A. Rawlinson Centre is looking for volunteers to help paint the set for Come From Away 

Painting would take place during the weeks of July 27-31 and Aug.4-7. There is some artistry that may be involved in painting trees.

We are now registered with SARCAN. Donate your bottles at SARCAN and say "We love art!" to have the proceeds go toward the MAG!
