Classes
For
information on booking classes, tours, or workshops please contact our
Gallery Educator, Twyla Exner (educator@mannartgallery.ca).
We provide interpretive tours of our current exhibition programming
including art/craft related projects for children, youth, and adults
year round.
Over 1000 students participate in
school tours each year. Tours feature critical discussion of the
artwork and a hands-on art activity, which allows the students to apply
what was discussed and learned how to create an artwork of their own.
Each season the MAG develops a newsletter in the form
of a Teacher’s Guide which explains the current exhibits and the planned
student art activity. In addition, there are
supplementary activities to build upon the ideas expressed by the art
exhibitions and during the tours, with emphasis on cross-curriculum.
