Our Vision
The Mann Art Gallery - bridging art and community
through excellence in art.
Our Mission
The Mann Art Gallery engages and facilitates the
development, presentation and preservation of the visual arts in a
diverse and inclusive community.
Our Objectives
To achieve our mission by means of: a diverse
exhibition and extension program and a Permanent Collection in a
facility adequate to these activities.

Board of Directors
The Mann Art Gallery is governed by a Board of
Directors as elected representatives from the greater MAG membership. We
exist in the capacity of an incorporated not-for-profit organization
with charitable status. Directors must be general members of the
organization, and serve a two year term. Elections occur at each
AGM (as needed). If you're interested in becoming a member of the
organization download our membership forms here.
Committees
The Committees are each comprised of volunteers and
board members (Chaired by board members) and members from the community.
The committees in place are: Management, Permanent Collection
(Acquisitions), Personnel, Policy, and Programming. If you are
interested in joining one of these committees as a volunteer, contact
the gallery at (306) 763-7080 or

Policy Development
On September 23rd, 24th and 25th the Mann Art Gallery
Staff and Board of Directors completed a gruelling three day session of
Governance Training and Policy Development with consultant Dawn
Martin of Daybreak Consulting. The final product was a completely new set
of policies adapted from the originals that will enhance the
relationships and reporting structure between Staff and Board as well as
provide the necessary tools to bring our Organization into the future.
The Board wishes to thank SaskCulture for the
Capacity Building Grant which enabled the funding for
this project.
Strategic Plan Development
On October 16th and 17th, 2010, Lydia Franc Beaurivage facilitated a
two day workshop in which board members brought concerns and suggestions
regarding the future direction of the gallery. A Key Action outline was
formulated that encompasses a three year time frame. On November 25th,
2010, Lydia met with the board again to assist in implementation of
three of the key actions as felt by the board were priorities. The board
has set a target of June 2011 for completion of those three key actions.
At that time the board will revisit the project report to select the
next actions. To ensure adequate time is spent on strategic planning,
reports and discussion are held at the beginning of every board meeting.
The Board wishes to thank SaskCulture for the
Capacity Building Grant which enabled not only funding for this project, but also for a workshop
with Brenda Sherring in which she presented to the board steps and
considerations to be taken in building policy.
